I had a few beers yesterday, which means I'm listening to The Walkmen today. That's when they hit hardest. A little bit of self-examination, a little bit of regret and a little bit of a smile.
Desperately sad, but still quietly raging, 'On The Water' lets you know that everything probably isn't going to be alright, but that's actually fine. Like all the best stories, it's about love, people and what it means to be alive.
The Walkmen are one of the bands I miss the most, and I'm so very sorry that I never got to see them play. This is one of my absolute favourite songs.
